Chelsea (Riverside)
This project illustrates the benefits of using rope access.
Chelsea Wharf is situated on the river Thames with one elevation of this building falling directly into the river. Initially we attended the site to complete a small but of stone work to allow the windows to be opened freely for the business occupants, once over the edge is was apparent that some extensive re pointing works needed to occur to prevent serious problems in the future. We offered our service to complete a survey and report back our findings and offer a cost effective solution. We carried out over 100m2 of repointing and because of the money saving works we were then asked to come back and refurbish 12 brittle windows and the repainting of of the render areas situated on the southern elevation of the thames. It would have been remarkably awkward and costly to erect any access platforms in the area.
